Voice for the voiceless. Access to health services -- the contrast between the voiceless and their elected leaders.
Health Millions 25(4):34-6 (1999) PMID 12295399
This article comments on the availability of health services among the voiceless and poor people. Literally hundreds of millions of people are suffering and died because of the unavailability of life-saving medical and public health services. The voiceless have been also deprived the rudimentary state-funded services that used to be accessible to them. The author divulged the gigantic deception and fraud among political leaders on the suffering voiceless people. Most political leaders who suffer serious illnesses would rush to other developed countries for immediate treatment. However, they failed to attain the standards of the developed countries on their own country. Finally, the author pointed that the struggle of the oppressed against the oppressors would be a long and arduous one.
