A multiplex PCR for detection of genes encoding exfoliative toxins from Staphylococcus hyicus.

J Appl Microbiol 96(6):1265-70 (2004) PMID 15139918

To develop a multiplex PCR for detection of genes encoding the exfoliative toxins ExhA, ExhB, ExhC and ExhD from Staphylococcus hyicus and to estimate the prevalence of exfoliative toxins among Staph. hyicus isolates from Danish pig herds with exudative epidermitis (EE).

  1. The role of spatio-temporal synchrony in the encoding of motion

    arXiv:1306.3162 [cs.CV] 13 Jun 2013

We consider the task of inferring motion from an image sequence. We show that The detection of a spatial transformation can be viewed as the detection of Synchrony between the image sequence and a sequence of features undergoing that Transformation. The classic motion energy model can be derived fro...
  2. Epigenetic regulation of DACT2, a key component of the Wnt signalling pathway in human lung cancer

    J Pathol 230(2):194-204 (2013) PMID 22806826

We found that while there was no SNP related to lung cancer, the DACT2 promoter region is frequently methylated in human lung cancer. DACT2 is silenced by promoter region hypermethylation and re-expressed by 5-Aza-2'-deoxyazacytidine treatment of lung cancer cell lines. Methylation of DACT2 was asso...

We elucidated cellular and immune responses of the epithelium induced through infection by a dipteran endoparasitoid, Exorista bombycis in the economically important silkworm Bombyx mori. Degradative autophagic vacuoles, lamella-like bodies, a network of cytoplasmic channels with cellular cargo, and...
