Promotion of oxygen atom transfer in Mo and W enzymes by bicyclic forms of the pterin cofactor.

Chem Commun (London) (2005) PMID 15724177

Density functional theory calculations suggest that bicyclic structures of the "molybdopterin" in DMSO reductases may have an important catalytic role in oxygen atom transfer reactions.

    Proc Natl Acad Sci U S A (2013) PMID 23650391

We identified and characterized two mutually exclusive GSC subtypes with distinct dysregulated signaling pathways. Analysis of mRNA profiles distinguished proneural (PN) from mesenchymal (Mes) GSCs and revealed a pronounced correlation with the corresponding PN or Mes HGGs. Mes GSCs displayed more a...

    Food Funct (2013) PMID 23644882

Consumption of a high-fat diet (HFD) promotes reactive oxygen species (ROS) which ultimately trigger inflammation. The aim of this study was to investigate the role of Moringa oleifera leaf extract (MoLE) and its active component quercetin in preventing NF-κB-mediated inflammation r...

ACS Appl Mater Interfaces (2013) PMID 23627421

This paper describes an application for atomic force microscopy to the fabrication of nanotextures with various features on GaAs surface by local oxidation nanolithography (LON). By controlling the geometrical shapes and surface coverage of the nanotexture, the surface adhesion can b...
