Phase I/II trial of adding semisynthetic homoharringtonine in chronic myeloid leukemia patients who have achieved partial or complete cytogenetic response on imatinib.

Cancer 103(9):1850-5 (2005) PMID 15786422

A Phase I/II study was designed to show whether the addition of semisynthetic homoharringtonine (sHHT) would reduce the level of residual disease in patients with Ph-positive chronic myeloid leukemia who appeared to have achieved a suboptimal response to imatinib alone.

The practical use of non-Hermitian (i.e., typically, PT-symmetric) phenomenological quantum Hamiltonians is discussed as requiring an explicit reconstruction of the {\em ad hoc} Hilbert-space metrics which would render the time-evolution unitary. Just the N-dimensional matrix toy models Hamiltonian...

We describe that bio-nanocapsules of about 30 nm diameter, displaying approximately 120 molecules of a tandem form of the immunoglobulin (Ig) G Fc-binding Z domain (ZZ-BNCs), can discriminate between the Fc regions of IgGs fixed in an oriented-immobilization manner and those fixed randomly, thus fac...

We point out the multiple functions that additives could provide by enhancing the mass and heat transfer properties, acting as co-catalysts, or imparting improved chemical, mechanical, or thermal stability. Recent exemplary studies developing rational approaches to prepare, characterise, and evaluat...
