The cutaneous B-cell lymphoma prognostic index: a novel prognostic index derived from a population-based registry.

J Clin Oncol 23(15):3390-5 (2005) PMID 15908651

Three classification and prognostic systems exist for primary cutaneous B-cell lymphoma (PCBCL). Whereas the WHO classification defines its categories based on histology, both the European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer classification and the conventional staging system consider skin site. We sought to incorporate both histology and skin site into a single prognostic index designed to predict survival in patients with PCBCL.

Findings suggest that similar to most countries, tar levels of Chinese cigarettes are predicted primarily by tobacco weight and filter ventilation. Ventilation explained approximately 50% of variation observed in tar and 60% variation in carbon monoxide yields. We found little significant change in...

We report a case of bowel sequestration with mucocele formation at the site of previous colo-colic anastomosis causing a mild elevation in CEA. The patient exhibited increasing CEA levels 6 years after resection of a sigmoid colon carcinoma with end-to-end anastomosis. Subsequently, computed tomogra...
