New biscoumarin derivatives-cytotoxicity and enzyme inhibitory activities

Bioorg Med Chem 14(23):7 (2006) PMID 16919464

A series of biscoumarin derivatives were screened for their cytotoxicity and enzyme inhibition activity against phosphodiesterase 1 from snake venom, and human nucleotide pyrophosphatase phosphodiesterase-1. K"i and IC"5"0 values of biscoumarins were found to be in the range of 50 to 1000 and 164 to >1000@mM against the human recombinant phosphodiesterase 1 enzyme, and 8.0 to 1150 and 9.44 to >1000@mM against the snake venom phosphodiesterase 1. Most of the active compounds were found to be non-cytotoxic and non-competitive inhibitors.

We report measurements of the decays B(+)-->phiphiK(+) and B(0)-->phiphiK(0) using a sample of 231 x 10(6) BB pairs collected with the BABAR detector at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy B factory at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center. The branching fractions are measured to be B(B(+)-->phiphiK(+))=(...
