[Evaluation of external respiration in the girls and women of the European north].

Gig Sanit (2008) PMID 18365448

The purpose of the study was to determine external respiratory function in adolescent and adult females (n = 492) aged 15 to 79 years who lived in European North (62 NL), by using a spirograph with a SPM-01-R-D microprocessor. The results were statistically processed by the F-test. The adolescent and adult females residing in the European North were found to have a hyperventilation syndrome, decreased respiration rate, increased tidal volume, vital capacity, and forced vital capacity.
