Vascular clamp-assisted clipping of thick-walled giant aneurysms.

Neurosurgery 64(3 Suppl):113-20; discussion 120-1 (2009) PMID 19240560

The prognosis of giant aneurysms remains poor despite recent advances in microneurosurgery. Thick-walled and partially calcified giant aneurysms with an atheromatic base are difficult to clip safely. Special techniques allowing reshaping of the base and ensuring the stability of clips are often needed. We present our experience with direct clipping of thick-walled giant aneurysms with the aid of the DeBakey cardiovascular clamp (Aesculap, Tuttlingen, Germany).

We obtain and analyze an exact solution to Einstein-Maxwell-scalar theory in $(2+1)$ dimensions, in which the scalar field couples to gravity in a Non-minimal way, and it also couples to itself with the self-interacting Potential solely determined by the metric ansatz. A negative cosmological Consta...

We demonstrate that spin-flips can be observed in the two-photon and the Three-photon Kapitza-Dirac effect for certain parameters. During the Interaction with the laser field the electron's spin is rotated and we give Explicit expressions for the rotation axis and the rotation angle. The Off-resonan...

We study the uniqueness of higher-spin algebras which are at the core of Higher-spin theories in AdS and of CFTs with exact higher-spin symmetry, i.e. Conserved tensors of rank greater than two. The Jacobi identity for the gauge Algebra is the simplest consistency test that appears at the quartic or...
