Plasma Plasmodium falciparum histidine-rich protein-2 concentrations do not reflect severity of malaria in Papua new guinean children.

Audio, Transactions of the IRE Professiona... 52(4):440-6 (2011) PMID 21216895

In areas of unstable malaria transmission, plasma Plasmodium falciparum histidine-rich protein 2 (PfHRP-2) concentrations parallel total parasite biomass and thus infection severity. However, where transmission is more intense, plasma PfHRP-2 might not reliably predict complications and mortality.

Anal Chim Acta (2013) PMID 23639393

In the present study a method for the simultaneous determination of aflatoxins B2 and G2 in peanuts has been developed. The method uses second order standard addition method and excitation-emission fluorescence data together with parallel factor analysis (PARAFAC). The aflatoxin anal...

In the event of obstructive coronary artery disease, collateral arteries have been deemed an alternative blood source to preserve myocardial tissue perfusion and function. Monocytes play an important role in modulating this process, by local secretion of growth factors and extracellu...
  3. Negative Feedback Control of Jasmonate Signaling by an Alternative Splice Variant of JAZ10.

Annu Rev Plant Physiol (2013) PMID 23632853

We show that desensitization to JA is mediated by an alternative splice variant (JAZ10.4) of JAZ10 that lacks the Jas motif. Unbiased protein-protein interaction screens identified three related bHLH transcription factors (MYC2, MYC3, and MYC4) and the co-repressor NINJA as JAZ10.4-binding partners....
