In vitro comparative toxicology of polyquad-preserved and benzalkonium chloride-preserved travoprost/timolol fixed combination and latanoprost/timolol fixed combination.

J Ocul Pharmacol Ther 27(3):273-80 (2011) PMID 21410334

To compare, in vitro, the cytotoxicity profile of a new formulation of travoprost 0.004%/timolol 0.5% fixed combination ophthalmic solution preserved with polyquaternium-1 0.001% (travoprost/timolol PQ) instead of benzalkonium chloride (BAK) with (1) commercially available travoprost 0.004%/timolol 0.5% fixed combination ophthalmic solution (travoprost/timolol BAK), (2) commercially available latanoprost 0.005%/timolol 0.5% fixed combination ophthalmic solution (latanoprost/timolol BAK), and (3) their associated BAK concentrations.

    World J Microbiol Biotechnol (2013) PMID 23653264

We characterized in vitro the potential plant growth promoting (PGP) properties of a gamma-proteobacterium, named MIMR1, originally isolated from apple shoots in micropropagation. The analysis of the 16S rRNA gene sequence allowed the taxonomic identification of MIMR1 as Luteibacter rhizovicinus. Th...
