Radical prostatectomy versus watchful waiting in early prostate cancer.

N Engl J Med 364(18):1708-17 (2011) PMID 21542742

During a median of 10.8 years of follow-up (range = 3 weeks to 17.2 years), 137 men in the surgery group and 156 in the watchful waiting group died (P = .09).
