Fracture strength in restored teeth before and after load cycling: an in vitro study.

J Calif Dent Assoc 39(5):300-7 (2011) PMID 21721474

This study compares the fracture resistance of endodontically treated teeth before and after load cycling. Forty-two maxillary incisors were selected. In groups 1 and 2, casting post and core was used. In groups 3 and 4, Dentatus posts and composite were used, and in groups 5 and 6, FRC posts were used. The load cycling had no statistically significant effect on fracture strength among groups.

We concluded that PHC attenuates NO production and iNOS expression by suppressing the activation of p38 MAPK pathway, thereby implicating a mechanism by which PHC may exert its protective effects against LPS-induced endothelial cell injury....

The effects of biological response modifiers (BRMs) on the functions of two types of dendritic cells (DCs) were examined in relation to anti-tumor therapy. The two BRMs studied in our assay system were OK432 (a streptococcal preparation) and KP-40 (Propionibacterium avidum: a heat-inactivated bacter...
